The Maritime Personnel Department is responsible for the manning of all vessels under VMFM management and will ensure that the sufficient numbers of seafarers with the required qualifications are available for the vessels. It is our belief that the crew on board our vessels is the most important factor of a successful ship management concept.

The ability and engagement of the crew is the key to a high quality operation both in respect of performance and economy, and we therefore have continuous focus on the recruitment process, and endeavor to maintain our seafarers within our pool by providing fair employment and sound working conditions on board the vessels.

The majority of our seafarers are either on a running agreement, or they are regulars who return to the vessels after their vacation period, thus maintaining the important continuity in the operation.
